My favorite thing about engagement sessions is that I get to spend the afternoon with my couples, and catch a glimpse of their relationship together! Shannon and Chris are so much fun, their relationship is hands down defined by joy. We were a mere 5 minutes into the session and Chris was already making Shannon laugh, and in turn they were both making me laugh – I knew it was going to be a good afternoon. The next two hours only further proved my theory and I had so much fun capturing their joy!!
I loved getting to hear them share their proposal story. Chris had planned to take Shannon to a beautiful Catholic church in Washington, D.C. to pop the question, even coordinating with Shannon’s sister to take pictures of the moment. They were on their way to the chapel, when Chris got a text from Shannon’s sister saying that the chapel was already in use, and they needed to find a new location. As he silently formulated Plan B (while driving, in D.C. no less!) Shannon became suspicious and actually guessed what was happening!! Nonetheless, Chris took Shannon to an equally beautiful chapel and asked for her forever. There were happy tears and a sparkly ring, so I’d say it was the perfect day!
Shannon and Chris, I had so much fun spending the afternoon with you two! I cannot wait for your wedding!!
