This stylish Lincoln Memorial engagement session in the heart of Washington DC couldn’t have been more perfect! As a DC wedding photographer, I love being able to venture around the DC monuments for engagement sessions – the Lincoln Memorial in particular, because it gives views of the Washington Monument as well! It’s beautiful, particularly at sunrise!
It was calling for storms on the original day of Kate & Ryan’s session, so we decided not to chance it and rescheduled for a different morning. The new date happened to be exactly a year from their wedding date (plus a day, but still!) and it just seemed all the more fitting for their session! Instead of stormy weather, we were graced with low 70’s and a gentle breeze, and it’s safe to say it was well worth rescheduling!
Ryan proposed the night that they moved into their new apartment in DC, truly celebrating the beginning of a new season together! I particularly loved Kate’s ring, timeless and unique from the usual styles! Kate & Ryan, congrats on this new season, it’s going to be such a fun year!!
