They’re officially married! Christina and Jason are an image of true flexibility. The day that we planned to do their D.C. Engagement Session turned out to be a March blizzard, so we had to reschedule. They were positive through it all, and we were graced with a beautiful afternoon the day we finally did their session! But they were tested even further when Hurricane Florence chose to arrive on their wedding weekend. Once again, we were preparing for extreme conditions, only this time it couldn’t be so easily rescheduled. At one point Christina shared that though she was nervous about it, she knew the wedding was about their marriage, not throwing a perfect party. I was struck by her genuine heart, so willing to surrender, staying focused on what truly matters. What a joy to be their photographer!
Their day was beautiful. Christina walked down the aisle to Dawn, from Pride and Prejudice, and the scene was made perfect with the Lodge’s rolling hills behind them. One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to watch them swing dance through not only their first dance, but most of the Reception. They are pros! I couldn’t help but picture them twirling across the kitchen as an old couple someday. So sweet!! Christina and Jason, we had so much fun with you guys! Thank you for inviting us to be a part of this season with you!
