This Union Station engagement session fell on truly the most beautiful morning of the year! As a DC wedding photographer, one of my favorite places to do sessions is Union Station because the architecture is stunning, and if you know the right time to go, you have the place virtually to yourselves! With it being one of Yvette’s favorite spots in DC, it was perfect for their session!
Yvette & Luis have been together for eight years, and their wedding next summer will mark nine! When it came time to propose, Luis bought the ring and brought it home, showing their young daughter what would be happening later that evening. In full excitement, she couldn’t hold it in and announced the news to Yvette, making herself forever a hilariously sweet part of the proposal story! It’s only fitting that she, and her little sister, will get to be flower girls in the wedding next summer!
They looked as if they were straight from a magazine for their session, and deserve extra points because they had less than a week to pull their outfits together! As we were talking through when would be most convenient to schedule the session, we realized that the upcoming weekend was best, and in less than a week, Yvette ordered this gorgeous gown, and Luis picked up a suit that complimented it so well. It often takes people weeks to find the perfect outfit, I was so impressed! Below are my favorites from their sunrise session!
Yvette & Luis, I had so much fun with you guys! Thank you for being so easy going and laid back, even when pigeons tried to take over! 🙂 I love loved spending the morning with you and can’t wait for June!!
We had so much fun with Yvette’s flowy gown, it was perfect for portraits! If you’re in the market for an engagement session dress, Yvette found her’s at Lulu’s here.
